What the Compact is designed for

  1. 01

No room for a freestanding column

On the wall next to the door, in the shared entrance or along the walkway. The Compact needs no floor space, which makes it the model for apartments and upstairs flats.

  2. 02

    Supplied pre-assembled

The only series that does not come as a self-assembly kit. Out of the box, onto the wall, done. You put the other three models together yourself.

  3. 03

Parcels that won't fit through the letterbox

Parcels up to 30 x 20 x 20 cm. That is the size that is just too big for an ordinary letterbox, the one you now walk to a parcel point for.

Good to know

The wall-mounted model for apartments, shared entrances and walkways

Not everyone has a front garden to put a column in. In an apartment, an upstairs flat or a home with a shared entrance, the wall next to the door is the only spot you have. That is what the Compact is made for.

It is 36.5 cm wide, 25 cm deep and 45 cm high, accepts parcels up to 30 x 20 x 20 cm and comes out of the box pre-assembled. The material and lock are the same as on the larger models: 0.7 mm galvanised steel with Qualicoat Class 2 powder coating with zinc phosphate pretreatment and a key lock with two keys.

For anyone without a garden or front garden

With an apartment, an upstairs flat or a home with a shared entrance, a freestanding column is not an option. There is no patch of your own land and the hallway is shared. That is why the Compact mounts on the wall: next to the door, in the shared entrance or on the walkway side.

If you live in a building with an owners' association (VvE in the Netherlands), check the location with them first. The inside of your own front door frame is usually no problem, a shared wall sometimes is.

At what height should you mount it

The Dutch guidelines for letterboxes assume a slot height between 60 and 180 cm, with 110 cm as the ideal height. If you mount the Compact with the opening at around that height, a delivery driver does not have to bend down or stretch.

Also make sure the box is within ten metres of the public road. Any further away and a delivery driver is not obliged to put post in it.

Pre-assembled out of the box

The Home, the Style and the Plus come as a self-assembly kit. The Compact does not: it is supplied pre-assembled and weighs 6.5 kg. So all you need to do is mount it, and with two people and a drill that is a fifteen-minute job.

Choose the fixings to suit your own wall. On a brick outer wall you use wall plugs, on wood you screw directly into the frame or door post.

What does and doesn't fit

The Compact accepts parcels up to 30 x 20 x 20 cm. Books, cosmetics, phone accessories, medicines and most small clothing parcels fit with room to spare. A shoebox or a larger clothing order will not always fit.

If you regularly order bigger items, take a look at the Home at 37 x 32 x 21 cm or the Plus at 45 x 32 x 21 cm. A box that is too small only solves half the problem.

Frequently asked questions about the Compact

How big can my parcel be?

Up to 30 x 20 x 20 cm. That is the smallest size of the four series.

Do I need to assemble the Compact?

No. The Compact is the only BunnyBox supplied pre-assembled. All you need to do is mount it.

Can it go on a shared wall?

Technically yes, but in a building with an owners' association (VvE) that is a question for the association. On your own door frame or door post that is usually not necessary.

How much does the BunnyBox Compact cost?

€89.95.

Can it hang indoors, for example in a shared entrance?

Yes. As long as the delivery driver can reach it and the box is within ten metres of the public road, a spot in the shared entrance works just as well. Being out of the rain is even an advantage.
